Medical Assistant


Great opportunity for an experienced Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse. Must possess a very strong work ethic and take pride in your work. Punctuality, attendance and attention to detail are a must. This position is full-time (4-5 days per week), Mon – Fri 8am – 5pm with Sat rotations from 8a – 12p. You occasionally may be asked to stay late or come in early to accommodate patients.

Job Duties

  • Prepares treatment rooms for patient examinations
  • Cleans treatment rooms following patient examinations
  • Interviews patients to obtain their medical history
  • Records patient medical history, vital statistics, and test results in patient electronic medical record
  • Performs routine screening tests, such as height and weight measurements and blood pressure checks
  • Draws blood, removes sutures, changes dressings
  • Cleans and sterilizes medical equipment and instruments
  • Properly disposes of contaminated supplies
  • Assists physicians during examination by handing over instruments and materials
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested
  • Managing incoming phone calls and messages in a prompt, courteous and professional manner
  • Assists with the inventory and maintenance of clinical supplies
  • Marketing practice & providers during events throughout the year
  • Completing Electronic Medical Record daily tasks and Patient Portal requests
  • Performing Clinical Referrals to Specialists


  • Medical Assistant Certification / LPN Degree
  • 6 Month minimum experience in Pediatrics or Family Practice
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of insurance plans and medical terminology
  • Has the ability to prioritize assignments in a busy environment
  • Electronic Medical Record experience, Office Practicum experience is a plus
